Series of storytelling sessions – ‘Aha Kahani Kaha Kahani’ – with children in different institutions of Bhopal during November-December, 2016
Beginning on the Children’s Day in 2016 – that is on November 14 – Eklavya, Anand Niketan Democratic School (ANDS), Azim Premji Foundation (APF), and friends together began a series of storytelling sessions for children in Bhopal, largely in the primary and middle school levels. Named as ‘Aha Kahani Kaha Kahani’, they centred on reading aloud stories for children from books. In addition, these sessions were also spiced up with songs and play activities. The hope was to attract children to the fascinating world of books, and have a whole lot of fun with them and their teachers while doing so. The institutions which played host for these events included: Eklavya’s own Pitara, ANDS, The Sanskaar Valley School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Red Rose School, Sarojini Naidu Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Sagar Public School and SOS Children's Village School. The news was highlighted in print media as well.
